This track is designed with the flexibility for students to focus in the following design & technology areas: set, lighting, projection, props, sound, costume, make-up & hair, and special effects.

Upper level theater electives (2000 +) in areas of design & technology. Program Director approval required.

***Please note that courses that are applied to obtain a Theater Design & Technology Major cannot be combined or doubled to obtain a major or minor in any other Theater Degree Program.

Notes About Electives:

THEA-1104 Intro to Theater may be taken as an elective if taken in a student’s first two years or substitute for the performance requirement if taken in the first two years.

THEA: 2001 Theater Practicum (¼ credit) may be used to accumulate an elective credit.

Up to 2 approved courses (2000 +) from outside the theater program can substitute as electives if applicable to the student’s focus area. Program Director approval required.

Please note that if above courses are taken as part of the core, they can not double as an elective.
