CHEM 2254 - Science of Fermentation 1 Course Unit(s) BIO 2254 An exploration of the scientific principles at the foundation of fermentation. Course is structured around experiential components including beer brewing, sensory analysis, and identification of beer style characteristics. Classroom time focuses on the chemistry and microbiology of the brewing and fermentation process. Emphasis is placed on the application of general scientific principles. May include off campus trips and/or guest speakers. Standard grading
