This course develops a theoretical base for coaching and leadership skills. The skills developed in this course will benefit students who seek opportunities in sports, recreation or other leadership/management careers. The course includes topics such as leadership and coaching theory, change management, diversity/equity/inclusion and technology related to coaching/leadership. The development of a leadership and coaching philosophy, with an emphasis on ethics and establishing a leadership style will be developed. An examination of the contemporary trends and issues in this area will be included. CR/NC grading
