ENG 2034 - Community Engagement Through the Arts

This course aims to build meaningful and collaborative connections between Transylvania and our neighbors to the north and east. To that end, it includes regular meetings with a variety of community leaders, attending neighborhood association meetings, recording oral history interviews with residents of the North Limestone neighborhood, working on a collaborative class project, writing weekly “This I Believe” essays and discussing readings that provide context for thinking about the communities with which the class engages. Standard grading
