IDS 2011 - Pedagogy Practices

This course builds on the skills you have developed through tutor training and experiences as a tutor. In this course you will delve more deeply into theories of learning, learning center pedagogy, and creating an inclusive and supportive environment. In addition to reading, discussing, and applying these theories in tutor partner work, you will meet weekly with your Embedded Learning Forum (ELF) faculty to discuss material covered in class to determine what should be covered in that week’s ELF session. You will apply the concepts from your Pedagogy Practices class meetings to create ELF session materials. We will review and revise ELF materials and you will create an ELF materials portfolio for use in future terms.
