REL 1064 - Introduction to Judaism 1 Course Unit(s) What is Judaism, and what or who makes Judaism? What categories of communal and individual identity and practice emerge when we start with Judaism? To answer these questions, we approach Judaism chronologically and thematically, starting with Solomon’s Temple and arriving in the present day. With possible sources ranging from the Babylonian Talmud to a contemporary television series, we will develop our understanding of Judaism collaboratively. Assignments may include short papers and a group project.
