SOC 2914 - Health, Medicine, and Society 1 Course Unit(s) A sociological investigation of the social institution of medicine, inequalities related to illness and healthcare, and the ways that health and illness might be addressed when social factors are included in healthcare decisions. This course includes discussions of both physical and mental health, along with the ways that privilege, oppression, and discrimination impact health and access to care.
