REL 2544 - Buddhist Religious Traditions 1 Course Unit(s) An examination of the philosophical and historical roots of classical Buddhism, its sectarian developments, and its spread from India to other countries. Topics of study include the life of Guatama; the nature of suffering, or the self, and of mind; gender issues in the religious community; and the nature of devotion (TRAD).
