MUS 1024 - Introduction to Music Technology 1 Course Unit(s) An introduction to music software applications and hardware components used in the teaching and production of music. Topics include Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI), notation, synthesis, digital sequencing, computer-assisted instruction, audio mixing and recording, and the history of electronic music. Students are introduced to many software programs and work closely with Pro Tools and Sibelius. Technologies, as well as aesthetics concepts, are introduced and explored through creative projects.
