ENG 3024 - Chaucer 1 Course Unit(s) A close reading of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales and selected shorter works within the cultural context of fourteenth-century England. The seminar will examine literary, political, social, religious, and philosophical issues central to an understanding of Chaucer as both a reflection and a critique of his times and as someone who anticipates contemporary issues. Read in Middle English.
