EDU 3124 - Young Adolescents: Preparing to Teach and Support Middle Level Learners 1 Course Unit(s) Prepares prospective teachers, counselors, social workers and/or anyone who aims to work with young adolescents in a middle school setting. Attention will focus on the physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and moral characteristics and risk behaviors of young adolescents in both social and school contexts. Middle school design and structures are considered from theoretical perspectives related to young adolescent growth and development. Requires 10 field hours. Requires 10 field hours.
