MUS 3864 - Advanced Musical Processes 1 Course Unit(s) Designed for the music major. Emphasis on music from the late 19th century to present day. Topics include advanced 19th-century chromatic harmony, alternatives to tonality in the early 20th century, 12-tone technique, minimalism, and recent syntheses of non-Western, pop independence of thought and creative development through performance and composition. Lab required.
