Effective, efficient, and practical visual communication has become essential in contemporary society. This Graphic Design course will explore visual graphic design software while developing essential skills for visual communication including photo-editing, icon design, typography, and layout. Students will develop basic understanding of design function, design thinking, fundamental elements of design, and discussion about the role graphic design plays in daily life. Students will demonstrate basic design skills through design projects for both print and the web. Standard grading
