MATH 2164 - Mathematical Modeling 1 Course Unit(s) This course serves as an introduction to the study of mathematical modeling. Mathematical topics include (but not limited to) discrete and continuous dynamical systems, matrix models, stochastic modeling, and empirical models. The necessary mathematical and scientific background will be developed as needed. This course provides an introduction through in-depth discussions of a variety of real-world examples, using hands-on exercises and projects that make use of analytical mathematical tools as well as the programming softwares. Topics will range based on student interest. The course will culminate in a final project. Standard Grading
