THEA 2214 - Costume Construction and Design 1 Course Unit(s) An introduction to the practices of theatrical costuming, from concept development through actualization. Students will learn the purposes and processes of the costumer’s art, including (but not limited to): design conferences; research; idea presentation; selecting, budgeting and procuring materials; rudimentary pattern making and/or working from commercial patterns; tools and techniques; sewing and construction skills; wardrobe maintenance; and costume shop administration.
