HIST 2404 - Latin American Civilization I 1 Course Unit(s) Surveys Latin American civilization from its pre-Columbian beginnings to the independence movements of the early nineteenth century. Focus will be placed on the encounters among European, African, and indigenous peoples that resulted in new and changing cultures. (Non-Western field)
