CHEM 3165 - Physical Chemistry I: Core Concepts 1 Course Unit(s) A study of the fundamental concepts that are relevant to all sub-disciplines of chemistry and form the foundation of our understanding of matter at the atomic and molecular level. Students will explore what holds matter together, why and how energetic changes accompany atomic/molecular changes, how reactants become products, and how matter interacts with light. This course will include an introduction to quantum mechanics, spectroscopy, thermodynamics, and chemical kinetics.
