GER 2154 - Weimar and New German Cinema for Major/Minor 1 Course Unit(s) A retrospective on German contributions to the history of film, focusing on the accomplishments surrounding what has become known as Weimar Cinema and the more recent “auteur” films of Fassbinder, Herzog, von Trotta, et al., collected together under the rubric of New German Cinema. Taught in English with all films subtitled in English. Students will complete individual course assignments in German and language-related work the instructor assigns.
