Printmaking students will learn the fundamentals of printmaking. The course will cover important foundational aspects of printmaking including safe use of equipment, monotype printing, relief printing, intaglio and screen-printing. Craftsmanship and understanding of aesthetics unique to the methods and materials of printmaking will be heavily emphasized. Students will gain knowledge through lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, critiques, and independent work.
