ART 2424 - Figure Drawing

This introductory drawing course establishes the fundamental principles and techniques for drawing the human form from direct observation. Students will work from live models to develop skills in gestural drawing, proportion, anatomy for artists, and structural analysis using a variety of media. This course is designed to engage students with no drawing experience while also giving experienced students an opportunity to advance their figure drawing skills. NOTE: Models are usually nude, which allows for close observation and study of the structure of the body.
