SPAN 2054 - Medical Spanish

Medical Spanish is designed to provide intermediate or advance level Spanish students with a foundation in medical vocabulary, cultural understanding, and respect for cultural healing practices and concepts. The course also provides the situational practice necessary to be culturally sensitive in today’s bilingual and bicultural medical setting. Furthermore, students will explore the role of the medical interpreter, and the ethical considerations in this practice.
