Don Dugi Endowed Professorship in Political Science

This professorship is named for Dr. Don Dugi, Professor Emeritus of Political Science, who served as a professor at Transylvania University for the longest number of consecutive years in our history, fifty (50), at his retirement in 2025. It was established by a group of approximately 170 Transylvania alumni and friends in recognition of Dr. Dugi’s extraordinary service and impact on his students. This appointment supports excellence in the Political Science program and funds an outstanding scholar and professor within one or more of the specialty areas of American law, constitutional law, etc. Through the endowment, this professor will receive annual salary supplements of $5,000.
