Dr. Charles Haggard Endowed Chair of Mathematics

Named for Dr. Charles Haggard, a former Mathematics professor at Transylvania University, the Endowed Chair in Mathematics appointment recognizes current faculty members of exceptional ability and stature. The Endowed Chair is a member of the tenured faculty with a rank of associate professor or professor in the Mathematics program. Candidates must be recognized for excellence in undergraduate teaching and supportive of Transy’s educational mission with proven ability to work successfully across academic disciplines. Through the endowment, this professor will receive annual salary supplements of $5,000.
