WRC 2224 - Writing for/with Nonprofits 1 Course Unit(s) Through semester-long engagement with 1-2 local nonprofit organizations as well as visits to/from other local nonprofits, this class informs students about various types of nonprofits and the texts (broadly defined) they typically use. As we produce a range of materials for our nonprofit partner(s), we will consider how we, as members of a university community, can productively engage with and learn from our surrounding communities in order to thoughtfully and persuasively effect social change. At the same time, we will critically examine our own roles/positionings and the role of nonprofits.
