PSY 3244 - Health Psychology 1 Course Unit(s) Focuses on the relationship of behavioral factors on health and longevity and how behaviors and attitudes have an impact on the quality of our lives. The course will cover how psychological theory and research are used to develop interventions to assist patients in maintaining healthy lifestyles and coping with and managing chronic health problems. Preventing disease will also be a major focus. Among the topics covered will be stress, cardiovascular disease, substance abuse, obesity, and many others.
